The eye is of course a critical organ that needs to be protected. Treating tumors in the eye can offer special challenges. We offer treatment for eye tumors, either primary eye tumors such as eye or ocular melanomas or for secondary eye tumors (aka ocular metastases or choroidal metastases). Our goal is to control these tumors while preserving the eye.
We work with specialized eye doctors and offer a highly-precise, accurate radiation therapy that is designed to control the tumor while preserving vision. We are among the few centers in the area that offer this service. The therapy is known as ocular plaque brachytherapy. The treatment is mostly outpatient.
